Travel guides for Saudi residents

For people who live in Saudi Arabia, on any passport. Your passport decides whether you need a visa. Your residence often decides where and how you apply.

Living in Saudi Arabia on an iqama usually does not change whether you need a visa, but it often changes where and how you apply, and for a few destinations it opens an easier route. Japan, for example, lets residents of Saudi Arabia apply for a tourist eVISA online; non-Saudis upload a copy of their iqama and exit/re-entry visa. Some routes also depend on how long your iqama has left, so check its expiry date before you apply.

Before you start
