Snow peaks above Bishkek, the blue of Issyk-Kul and yurt camps at Song-Kol make Kyrgyzstan a striking mountain holiday. The Kyrgyzstan e-Visa for Pakistani passport holders comes with a twist: what the official portal offers depends on where you live, not only on your passport.
In short: if you hold a resident card from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain or Brunei, the official checker shows a simplified route to a tourist visa of up to 1 month. If you live in Pakistan, the UK or Europe, that route is not listed for you. Check your own case with the “Do I need visa?” tool on evisa.e-gov.kg.
Last checked: 5 October 2026, on the official portal. Voyfaro does not issue, apply for or guarantee visas. Rules change, so confirm before you pay.
Kyrgyzstan e-Visa for Pakistani passport holders: quick answer
| Where you live | What the official checker shows | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain or Brunei, with a resident card | A “simplified procedure” for a tourist visa of up to 1 month | evisa.e-gov.kg, Tourist (TS) visa |
| Pakistan | Ordinary passports: no visa-free and no facilitated regime | Ask the Kyrgyz embassy or the e-Visa support desk before you pay |
| UK or Europe, no Gulf resident card | Same as Pakistan. UK and EU residence are not on the list | The Kyrgyz embassy for your country, or the support desk |
- Fee (Tourist, 1 month, standard service): US$51.50 single entry or US$61.80 multiple entry, as shown on the portal on 5 October 2026. Non-refundable.
- Processing: the portal refers to a 5-working-day review period. A higher-priced service level is called “Consideration of the application within 2 business days”.
- Entry points: the portal’s terms say an e-Visa can be used only if you travel via Manas International Airport (Bishkek), Osh International Airport or the Ak-Zhol checkpoint (spelled “Ak-dzol” on the portal).
The GCC residence rule explained
Which resident cards qualify
When you select Pakistan, the checker’s note says there is “a simplified procedure and the opportunity to obtain a tourist visa for up to 1 month” if you have a resident card of one of these countries:
- UAE
- Kuwait
- Qatar
- Brunei Darussalam
- Oman
- Bahrain
- Saudi Arabia (listed as KSA)
The portal defines a resident card as a temporary residence permit, a document confirming a non-citizen’s right to long-term residence in that country. It does not name specific cards. For Gulf residents, this is usually the residence permit you already hold, such as a UAE residence visa with Emirates ID, a Saudi iqama or a Qatar ID. If you are unsure, ask the support desk.
The checker sets no minimum validity for the card. As general guidance, keep it valid well beyond your return date, since you need it to re-enter the Gulf. Saudi residents should also check that their exit/re-entry visa covers the whole trip.
Why residence matters when visas usually follow your passport
Kyrgyzstan’s checker splits Pakistani passport holders into two groups. An ordinary Pakistani passport on its own gets neither the visa-free nor the facilitated regime. With a resident card from one of the seven countries, the checker shows the simplified tourist route. The same note appeared for Indian and Bangladeshi passports when we checked.
Living in the UK or Europe on a Pakistani passport
A UK or Schengen residence permit is not on the list, so the checker shows the same “no” as for someone living in Pakistan. Contact the Kyrgyz embassy that covers your country, or the e-Visa support desk, before you pay.
If you are also a British citizen, travel on your British passport. The checker shows UK ordinary passports as visa-free for up to 30 days.
How to check eligibility on evisa.e-gov.kg
The portal’s homepage tells you to go to “Get information > Do I need visa?” Here is what you will see:
- Type www.evisa.e-gov.kg yourself. The official address ends in .gov.kg.
- Click INFORMATION in the top menu. The “Get information” page opens on the DO I NEED VISA? tab.
- Select Pakistan in the “select country” drop-down. This is your passport country.
- Read the table. It has two rows, “Visa free regime” and “Facilitated visa regime”. Its columns are Ordinary, Service and Diplomatic passport, plus a fourth column headed “Ordinary Passport*”.
- Read the starred column. For Pakistan, it holds the note on the seven resident-card countries, and a definition of “resident card” appears below the table.
The Important Information and FAQs tabs on the same page are worth reading before you apply.
Applying for the Kyrgyzstan e-Visa step by step
Start on the official portal, not a look-alike
Private websites that offer Kyrgyz visa applications are not the official portal and may add their own charges. Pay only on evisa.e-gov.kg. The portal says every traveller needs a separate e-Visa, including infants and children, even if they are in a parent’s passport.
Step 1: country and trip purpose
Click Apply for a visa. Then choose:
- Passport country: Pakistan
- Passport type: Ordinary
- Visa type: Tourist (TS), for up to 30 days. The portal says it cannot be issued while you are inside Kyrgyzstan.
- Service level: “Standard service”, or “Consideration of the application within 2 business days”
- Entries: single or multiple
The price appears once you choose. Enter the captcha, accept the terms and continue.
Fill in the form in English
The FAQ says the form must be completed in English. You get a verification email, and you must confirm it within 72 hours or the application is cancelled. If you stop halfway, use Continue your application with your reference number.
The Preview & Confirmation step is your last chance to fix mistakes, which the portal says lead to rejection. You cannot change data after paying.
Upload passport, photo and resident card
The FAQ asks for a scanned passport and a digital photo, “according to the visa type”. Your passport must:
- be valid for at least 6 months after the visa’s validity ends
- have at least 2 free pages
- be undamaged, with no unofficial marks
We did not start a real application, so we could not see every upload screen. Gulf residents should keep a clear scan of both sides of their resident card ready. The FAQ says documents should be in Kyrgyz or Russian, or translated into one of them, so ask the support desk whether your card needs a translation.
The Application Forms tab also has a sample Statement Letter for a Tourist (TS) e-Visa, addressed to the Consular Department of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It has two versions: one signed by an individual, and one in which an organisation “confirms the invitation” and promises support during your stay. The page does not say who must submit one, so if the application asks for it, check with the support desk or your tour company.
Pay the fee and keep your reference number
Pay by credit or debit card. The card does not have to be in your name, but it must allow international payments. Keep your 8-character reference number private; the terms say you should not share it with anyone, including family.
| Tourist (TS), 1 month | Standard service | Review within 2 business days |
|---|---|---|
| Single entry | 4,503.68 som (US$51.50) | 13,511.03 som (US$154.50) |
| Multiple entry | 5,404.41 som (US$61.80) | 16,213.23 som (US$185.40) |
Fees shown on the portal for a Pakistani ordinary passport on 5 October 2026. The FAQ says the fee depends on visa category, type and period, and is not refunded if you are refused.
Kyrgyzstan e-Visa status check and printing
Go to Services > Check status and enter your reference number. The same page lets you continue an unfinished application or ask for faster review. If the system returns your application, you get an email: open Check status, fix the lines marked in red and resubmit. The 5-working-day review period restarts once your corrections are made.
Once approved, keep a printed copy of the e-Visa with your passport, as general guidance. If you get a new passport, the portal has a Visa transfer to new passport service.
If you live in Pakistan: the embassy route
Contacting the Kyrgyz embassy in Pakistan
Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes its embassy pages, including one for its embassy in Pakistan, on mfa.gov.kg. But on 5 October 2026, every page we tried returned an error (HTTP 502), so we could not confirm the embassy’s current address, hours or visa process. Try the site again, or ask the e-Visa support desk:
- Email: e-visa@mfa.gov.kg
- Hotlines: a Visa Center WhatsApp hotline and a 24/7 Consular Department hotline, both listed on the portal’s Contact Us page
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (the page does not name a time zone)
Embassy details copied onto private visa sites may be out of date.
Documents to have ready
We found no official embassy checklist. As general guidance, have these ready and confirm with the embassy first:
- passport meeting the portal’s rules above
- recent passport-size photos
- day-by-day itinerary
- hotel bookings, ideally with free cancellation
- recent bank statements in your own name
- a statement or invitation letter from your host or tour company, if asked
We found no official minimum bank balance. Treat any figure quoted by an agent as unofficial.
Processing times
The portal mentions a 5-working-day review period and sells a 2-business-day option. Treat other processing times you see on private websites as unofficial. The portal says to avoid buying your air ticket before you get the approval notice, so hold non-refundable bookings until then.
Getting to Bishkek and Osh
Fly into Manas International Airport (Bishkek) or Osh International Airport, the two airports named in the e-Visa terms. From Pakistan, expect to connect through a hub such as Dubai, Sharjah or Istanbul. Gulf residents may find direct flights from the UAE. Routes change by season, so check current schedules. Compare flights to Bishkek and Osh.
Trip ideas: Bishkek, Issyk-Kul, Ala-Archa and Song-Kol
- Bishkek: leafy capital, bazaars and a base for day trips.
- Ala-Archa National Park: alpine valleys and hiking trails close to Bishkek.
- Issyk-Kul: a huge mountain lake. Cholpon-Ata on the north shore, Karakol for treks.
- Song-Kol: a high lake at around 3,000 metres, with yurt stays and horse riding.
As general guidance, June to September is best for mountains and yurt camps, and Song-Kol is usually reachable only in summer. If you loved Hunza or Skardu, you will feel at home. Compare hotels in Bishkek and around Issyk-Kul.
Combine with Uzbekistan
Each country needs its own visa. Read our Uzbekistan e-Visa guide for Pakistanis for that side.
Check how you will cross. The Kyrgyz e-Visa terms name only Manas airport, Osh airport and the Ak-Zhol checkpoint. Before planning a road crossing from Uzbekistan, ask the support desk, or plan to enter Kyrgyzstan by air at Manas or Osh. Gulf residents should also read our Georgia and Azerbaijan guides.
Data, money and insurance
- eSIM: as general guidance, signal is good in Bishkek and the main towns but patchy in high valleys. Download offline maps. Compare eSIM options or read eSIM vs roaming vs local SIM.
- Insurance: check the altitude limit, trekking and horse riding cover, and mountain rescue. Compare travel insurance.
- Registration: the portal says foreign citizens must register at their place of stay within 5 working days of entry, unless their country is on an exemption list. Ask your hotel how this is handled.
- Help on the ground: the Embassy of Pakistan in Bishkek lists parepbishkek@mofa.gov.pk and +996-312-373901. Its advice for Pakistanis includes keeping your passport and visa with you, and keeping your address handy, with a translator, for taxi drivers who speak only Kyrgyz or Russian.
Mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the simplified route works from Pakistan as it does from Dubai
- A resident card or Saudi exit/re-entry visa that runs out during the trip
- Choosing Business (B) for a holiday instead of Tourist (TS)
- Paying on a look-alike website
- One e-Visa for the whole family (each traveller needs their own)
- Buying non-refundable tickets before approval
- Planning a land entry the terms do not list

FAQ
Can Pakistanis apply for the Kyrgyzstan e-Visa from Pakistan?
The portal lets you select Pakistan and the Tourist (TS) visa. But its checker shows no facilitated regime for ordinary Pakistani passports without a Gulf or Brunei resident card. Ask the embassy or support desk first, because fees are non-refundable.
I live in Dubai on a Pakistani passport. Am I eligible for the e-Visa?
With a valid UAE resident card, the checker shows a simplified procedure for a tourist visa of up to 1 month. Apply on evisa.e-gov.kg and keep your Emirates ID and residence visa valid.
What is the Kyrgyzstan e-Visa fee for Pakistani passport holders?
On 5 October 2026, the portal showed US$51.50 (4,503.68 som) for a single-entry 1-month tourist visa and US$61.80 for multiple entry. Faster review costs more. Fees are non-refundable.
How do I check my Kyrgyzstan e-Visa status?
Go to Services > Check status on evisa.e-gov.kg and enter the 8-character reference number from your email.
Can I visit Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on one trip?
Yes, with a separate visa for each. The Kyrgyz e-Visa terms name only Manas airport, Osh airport and the Ak-Zhol checkpoint, so confirm before a land crossing.
Does Voyfaro apply for the Kyrgyz visa for me?
No. We point you to the official portal and help you compare flights, hotels, eSIM and insurance. You apply yourself, and only Kyrgyz authorities decide.
