Visa guidance
Visa guidance, with official sources first
Visa rules depend on your passport, where you live, where you are going and why. We help you understand the general route, prepare a tidy document list and find the official place to apply. Where an e-visa is available, we may point you to the official portal or, where available, an e-visa partner.
Voyfaro
- Traveller:Pakistani passport, living in Lahore. Planning a holiday in Italy in May.
- Voyfaro:Italy is in the Schengen area, so you will usually need a Schengen short-stay visa. Here is the official EU page and a general document list.
- Traveller:Do I need travel insurance for it?
- Voyfaro:Yes. Schengen visas need travel medical insurance with at least €30,000 cover. The consulate makes the final decision.
What we help with
Clear guidance before you apply
Finding the right starting point
Which type of visa or entry permission may fit your trip, based on official information.
Official links
The government page or authorised visa centre where you actually apply.
Document checklists
A general list of what is commonly asked for, so you can prepare early.
Timing
How early you may be able to apply, and typical processing times published by the authority.
E-visa routes
Where a destination offers an online visa, we may point you to the official portal or, where available, to an e-visa partner that submits it for you. A partner may charge a service fee on top of the government fee.
Linked bookings
Flights, hotel bookings and travel insurance that you may need for your application.
Official sources
Start with official sources
Always check the official source before you apply. Rules and fees change. Here are some official pages we often refer to.
United Kingdom (Standard Visitor)
Schengen area (EU visa policy)
For other countries, use the official immigration website of the country you are visiting, or the website of its embassy in your country of residence. Be careful with look-alike websites that charge extra fees.

Tips
Apply early
Appointment slots can fill up, especially before holidays.
Pay fees only through official channels
Use the official or authorised channel to pay visa fees.
Be honest and consistent
Your form, bookings and documents should tell the same story.
Check transit rules
Some airports need a transit visa even if you do not leave the airport.
Do not book non-refundable travel too early
Wait until your visa is decided, unless you accept the risk.
Watch out for fraud
No one can sell you a guaranteed visa. Visit or tourist visas do not allow you to work.
FAQ
Visas FAQ
Have another question? Ask us in chat or by email.
Can Voyfaro guarantee my visa?
No. No one except the official authority can decide on a visa. We give general guidance and link you to official sources so you can apply with confidence.
Do you apply for the visa on my behalf?
No. You apply through the official portal, embassy or authorised visa centre. For some e-visas, we may point you to an e-visa partner that can submit the application for you, under its own terms and fees.
Is your guidance legal advice?
No. It is general information to help you prepare. For complex situations, such as a past refusal or overstay, please speak to a qualified immigration adviser.
Are your document lists complete?
They are general and may not cover every case. Always use the latest checklist from the official authority or authorised visa centre for your visa type.
